St. Paul's Church - Qingdao Old Town

St. Paul’s Church, constructed of red brick and wood, began construction in 1938 and was completed in 1941. Designed by Yourieff from Russia and sponsored by the Ludong Lutheran Church, the structure has two floors above ground with a basement. The Qingdao Old Town structure, with semi-circular external walls at the east, west, and north ends, is comprised of the church, a square tower, and ecclesial building. The main hall of St. Paul’s Church is 10 meters high covering more than 200 square meters. The entire complex covers a ground space of 2,225.34 square meters with a total floor space of 1,481.95 square meters. Currently St.Paul’s Church holds services on Sundays and is under municipal-level protection by Qingdao City.
