Notice from the BOCOG Ticketing Center:
Following the temporary suspension of the Phase 2 domestic tickets sales of the Beijing Olympic Games, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) has modified the ticketing policies for the second phase of the Beijing Olympic Games tickets sales.

The ticketing policy modifications aim to reflect a people-oriented policy and to adhere to principles of fairness, impartiality, and convenience to the public. BOCOG has taken into consideration technical verification and research by specialists as well as comments and suggestions from various parties in making the policy adjustments.

The Phase 2 ticketing policy changes are as follows:
1. Phase 2 of the Beijing Olympic Games ticket sales will institute a policy whereby BOCOG will use a one-time lottery drawing to determine ticket buyer eligibility.
2. Eligible ticket buyers may request tickets based on an adjusted ticket purchase limit.
3. Ticket applications will be accepted beginning December 10, and the ticket application submission period will end on December 30. There will be no priority given to applications received first.
4. The ticket purchase limit and the date of the lottery drawing will be announced at a later date.
5. Ticket buyers who registered on October 30, 2007 at BOCOG-designated Bank of China branches and through the BOCOG Ticketing Call Center with a valid ID will still have priority in purchasing tickets. The ticket purchase guidelines for these ticket buyers will be announced at a later date.

Persons Eligible to Order Olympic Tickets Through the BOCOG Website:
I. Any natural person who has met both the residency and ID requirements as described below is eligible to order Olympic tickets through this website.

Residency Requirement:
You must have an address in the territory of People's Republic of China (except Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province).

ID Requirement:
1.  Citizens of People's Republic of China must possess one of the following valid IDs:
• Resident ID Card of The P.R.C.
• P.R.C Passport
• PLA Officer ID Card
• PLA Civilian Officer ID Card
• PLA Soldier ID Card
• PLA Honorary Retired Cadre ID Card
• PLA Retired Officer ID Card
• PLA Retired Civilian Officer ID Card
• Armed Police Officer ID Card
• Armed Police Civilian ID Card

2.  Citizens of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region must possess a valid passport or a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents with valid endorsement.
3.  Citizens of Taiwan Province must possess a valid travel document or a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents with valid endorsement.
4.  Foreign citizens must possess a valid passport with a Chinese visa valid for 6 months or more.

During account registration, please choose an appropriate ID from the 7 ID types including Resident ID, Passport, Armed Police ID, Military Officer ID, Military Soldier ID, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents and Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. Resident ID hereby includes the Resident ID Card of the P.R.C and the Temporary Resident ID Card of the P.R.C.; Armed Police ID includes the Armed Police Officer ID Card, Armed Police Civilian ID Card, Armed Police Soldier ID Card, Retired Armed Police ID Card and the Retired Civilian Armed Police ID Card; Military Officer ID includes PLA Officer ID Card, PLA Civilian Officer ID Card, PLA Honorary Retired Cadre ID Card, PLA Retired Officer ID Card and the PLA Retired Civilian Officer ID Card; Military Soldier's ID refers to the PLA soldier ID Card only. II. If you reside in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan Province or any foreign country, you are not eligible to order Olympic tickets through the BOCOG website.
