How to get a Qingdao Bus Pass (IC Card)

Do you want a Qingdao Bus Pass? If so head down to your local IC Card office and pick one up.  There is a 25 rmb deposit for the card which does not count towards bus fares; for an extra rmb you can purchase a card holder.  With card in hand you can charge it up with as much rmb as you see fit.  The deposit is refundable upon return of the card, so don't lose it!  Now that you have an IC card you can save a whopping 2 mao on bus lines that have one or two digits (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12, #15, #20, #21, #22, #23, #24, #25, #26, #28, #29, #30, #31, #32, #33, #36) and a few fen on all the rest.  The bus pass is more convenient than anything else!  A list of Qingdao's bus lines can be found at [www.qdtravel.com/traffic/gongjiao.asp] or [www.qingdao.8684.cn] -- this information is only available in Chinese.
