Qingdao :: Shi Mei Nunnery |

|
Shimei Nunnery is lying on Licang District. Calm and peaceful, it is scattered among the green huge pines. It is just a Birds Singing Park. The Nunnery building was rebuilt several decades ago during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
I just recently went and the entrance fee was 20 Yuan per person. Even though right now it’s National Day Vacation, there were a few people. I thought the main reason is that getting there is inconvenient. Yesterday I took the 318 bus. The bus's starting point is north of the city hall, and the bus's stop you get off is close to the end of the line. Even after getting off the bus, you should take a taxi to get there; the fee of taxi is 9 Yuan.
There are also about 200 inscriptions, but I could not see those Buddhist inscription, because that door of the temple was closed. I was also told that in the spring there are a lot of tourist that visit to see the plum and winter sweet blossoming. The nunnery is in a lovely park that has small lakes and a tiny waterfall. And of course, The Birds!
