Amy's Bakery
Amy's is well known for its cheese cake and has great sandwiches that range from 18 - 24 RMB.  If you want a killer smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese head to Amy's.  The chicken sandwich is also great.  The décor is great, the music is ok and suggestible.

Café Arabica
Best Italian Coffee found in Qingdao!  Arguably one of the best espressos I've had in in China -- take it from an Italian American.  Great Italian coffee served properly with a glass of water and a little peace of chocolate.  Has a nice Menu with affordable prices.

Hagan Das
Illy coffee and Hagan-Das coffee served Cold or Hot.  Illy for those that don’t know is probably the largest Italian coffee company in the world.  Illy coffee trainers are very professional and many consider their coffee the best coffee in Italy.  Give the coffee a try.

Cafe KONA
Café Kona is a Korean run coffee shop with great décor and ambiance.  The shop specializes in coffee.  They serve real Hawaiian Kona coffee. The owner studied coffee and bought a top of the line Italian Coffee Machine on her visit to Italy.  Their coffee is at International levels and service is great.

Pasta Fresca da Salvatore
Most Impressive expresso in town!  Finally, an Italian Restaurant (outside a hotel) worth writing home about, Pasta Fresca opens its doors with great Italian food and an espresso that sent me to work whistling.  Their Tiramisu is also great.

SPR (for you OZZIES Not to be confused with SPC baked beans and Spaghetti)
The largest coffee chain in Qingdao, that makes Italian and American coffee.  American is made with an Italian Espresso Machine.  Every SPR has its own culture since the owners are different.  My favorite Franchise is the SPR at Shi Lao Ren Beach.  It has a wonderful view of the Old Stone Man and the whole beach from the 2nd floor.  Most SPRs have a computer with free Internet or free WiFi.  They usually play jazz and/or blues, which is comforting.  Check them out.
