The total area of soil in Qingdao is 825,500 hectares, composing 74.35% of the total land area. There are approximately 421,000 hectares of tillable land and 38,000 hectares of beach in Qingdao. The soil is divided into 5 categories: umber, black earth, tidal earth, brown earth, and sailing soil. Umber is the prevalent soil type and is used for growing agricultural products. ShiNan Train Station Closed for Olympic Game Renovation
The ShiNan train station at 2 TaiAn Lu will be closed from November 20, 2006 until June, 2008 for Olympic Games renovation.
