The Qingdao International Airport provides 72 domestic & 14 international flights.  The airport is located 31km from the Central Business District and accessible by taxi and public transportation as well as from a special bus that operates from the CAAC office on XiangGang Zhong Lu (Hongkong Middle Road).  A taxi from the airport should cost no more than 125RMB and take about 40-50 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

The "Gas Tax" is Back:
Starting on November 5th, 2007 an additional 1 RMB will be charged on all taxi fares.  This is due to the ever rising gas prices that China and the rest of the world are facing.

The Qingdao Municipal Museum is Closed until July 2008:
The City's Municipal Museum is undergoing "Olympic renovation" and will not open until next year.
