Qingdao Jimo Yantai Haiyang BridgeThe  Qingdao Jimo – Yantai Haiyang Bridge (青岛即墨至烟台海阳之间的跨海大桥目前正) will open to traffic in May, 2012.  The bridge will connect Qingdao’s Jimo City with Yantai’s Haiyang at a length of 3,290 meters and a total investment of half a billion RMB.

The Qingdao Jimo – Yantai Haiyang Bridge (青岛即墨至烟台海阳之间的跨海大桥目前正) will be toll free and cut approximately 50 minutes of travel time between Jimo and Haiyang.

This is part of the Shandong Gold Coast Highway system that connects Qingdao, Yantai, and Weihai through the Jiaodong Peninsula.  Haiyang will now just be a short 40 minute drive from the urban area of Qingdao’s Jimo City.
